Reactions: Hunter Greene, Art Warren allow no hits, but Reds lose 1-0 to Pirates

For the sixth time in Major League Baseball history, a team has allowed no hits over eight or nine innings and lost the game.

Reds rookie Hunter Greene impressed in 7 1/3 no-hit innings in his seventh big-league start, and Art Warren didn't allow a hit in retiring two batters in the 8th but did allow an inherited runner to score.

Greene and Warren combined to allow no hits. In a 1-0 loss to the Pirates in Pittsburgh.

Bally Sports Ohio analyst Sam LeCure described it after the game as "awkward."

"The way he did it was just amazing to watch," Reds manager David Bell said of Greene's outing. "It's just so special watching him perform like that. ... I know he's very happy about this day."
