UNION, N.J. (5/15/22) – Eliza Filus went 1-for-3 with a run scored as the second seed Kean University softball team fell to third ranked and top seed Eastern Connecticut State 5-1 in the NCAA Regional Final on Sunday afternoon.
Carley Stoker 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Warriors who improve to 40-5 overall.
Isabella Polash and
Gianna Pickens both went 1-for-3 for the Cougars who fall to 32-9 overall.
ECSU notched three runs in the third with RBI doubles from Vilchez and Biel. The Warriors added to their lead with two runs in the fourth on a Stoker homer.
The Cougars notched their lone run of the afternoon when Filus scored a wild pitch in the fourth
Melody Caces finished 1-for-1, while
Annabella Marino struck out four batters in 5 2/3 innings pitched.
