Megan says they were out working in the front yard a few weeks ago when Peyton started to say this. Their house overlooks a busy road in town were she says care often are going faster than they should be.

“I didn’t expect it to do anything. I did tag the local police department, just because they share local stuff all the time and we’re a small town so it kind of took of after that,” Megan said.

The Hodgensville Police Department saw the video on Facebook and reached out to Peyton’s mom. They wanted to do something special for the four-year-old, and organized a visit from one of their officers.

“He gave me a shirt and a bracelet,” Peyton said.

Peyton said she really enjoyed getting to meet Officer Riley.

Megan hopes more drivers will take her daughter's message to heart and think twice before going over the speed limit, especially in areas where kids are playing.

“Slow down,” Peyton said.

When she grows up, Peyton  wants to be a veterinarian but once that career is over, then she’d like to be a police officer.
