Troopers investigate death of elderly Rowan County, Ky. man

Ky. State Police report an elderly Rowan County man drowned Saturday after attempting to cross a tributary along Bullfork Road in a utility vehicle. (Sinclair Broadcast Group){p}{/p}
MOREHEAD, Ky. (WCHS) —
Troopers in Kentucky report they are investigating the death of an elderly Rowan County man.

Eddie Thomas, 80, of Morehead was attempting to cross high water in a utility vehicle along Bullfork Road Saturday and was overcome by the current, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police.
The news release said the Morehead Rescue Squad recovered Thomas and he was transported to St. Claire Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Kentucky State Police reported receiving assistance from Rowan County EMS and the Rowan County Coroner’s Office.
