The Michigan State Police Hart Post troopers are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash.
The crash happened just after midnight on Sunday on M-37 south of 1 Mile Rd in Peacock Township in Lake County.
A 50-year-old man from Chesterfield, MI, was riding his motorcycle on south bound M-37 when his motorcycle ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of this incident is under further investigation.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, Lake County Central Dispatch, and Life EMS.
