Ray Emery Davis Jr., 68, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Morton County Health System, Elkhart, Kansas.

The son of Ray Emery Davis Sr. and Goldie (Calkins) Davis and he was born on December 9, 1953, in Jamestown, North Dakota.

Ray and Wanda Jean Hutchison were married on April 27, 1974, in Logan, Kansas.

Ray was a member of United Methodist Church, Elkhart, Kansas. Ray’s hobbies were hunting, fishing, reading, and working outside and in the garage.

Survivors include wife, Wanda Davis, Elkhart, KS.; son, Joe Davis and wife Carrissa, Waukesha, WI.; two daughters, Teresa Cantrell, Hugoton, KS., Donnanda Lynch and husband John, Stillwater, OK.; brother, Dale Davis, Goodland, KS.; Sharon Velez, Wichita, KS.; five grandchildren, Natalie Hogie and husband Clayton, St. John, KS., Tucker Wittich, Fairfax, OK., Braxton Davis, Kolton Davis, and Grace Davis Waukesha, WI.; four great-grandchildren, Erynn, Jessie, Kody, and Raigyn; mother-in-law, Eula Hutchinson, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded by his parents, grandson, Wyatt Davis, granddaughter, Abrienne Davis, brother, Larry Davis, brother-in-law, Franky Valez, and father-in-law, Gene Hutchinson.

A memorial has been established for the Wounded Warriors. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Satanta, KS 67870.

The memorial service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 10 AM at United Methodist Church, Elkhart, Kansas with David Eckert and Jerry Ryman presiding. Burial following at Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart, Kansas.

A book signing will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 11 AM to 7 PM, at Robson Funeral Home, 120 Grant St., Elkhart, Kansas.

Robson Funeral Home, Elkhart is in charge of arrangements.
