A State College man died in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 99 in Patton Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Jordan A. Henry, 22, was driving a Honda Accord northbound just before 2 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a left curve near mile marker 72.4, went off the right side of the road and struck an embankment, police wrote in a crash report.

The Honda overturned multiple times and came to rest on its roof. Henry was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Centre County Coroner’s Office.

No one else was in the car at the time.

The right lane of I-99 northbound between miles 71 and 73 was closed for about five hours after the crash.

Alpha Fire Company, Centre LifeLink EMS, Patton Township police and Gray’s Towing also responded to the scene.
