A collaborative effort from two local businesses gave Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School a new look.

Wilson Welding and Schafer Roofing, both located in Adair, placed a new 15 foot wide by five feet tall steel sign that reads “AC/GC High School,” just before the front entrance of the building. Designer Jeff Johnston says that this sign took roughly seven months to draft a design and get the materials. He explains that the plan was to match the sign with the color with the new weight room.

“You know, if you’re facing the building to the left of that is the new gym with the gray exterior on it, with the gray steel walls on it and it kind of ties some of the color and it just makes the front entrance pop a lot more.”

The sign has a gray background with AC and GC in bold white and the thunderbolt and the word “highschool” in bold Charger yellow. Also, this project was funded by the school.
