Environmental activities

• Volunteers are needed for a Community Tree Planting Event, 8:45 a.m.-noon, May 21 at Boulan Park, 1898 Boulan Park Drive in Troy, to help plant 20 trees. • The city of Southfield’s Annual Rouge River Cleanup is 9 a.m.-noon, May 21. Registration is required for logjam removal by emailing bsiedlaczek@cityofsouthfield.com. Also volunteers are need to remove invasive plants and weeding at Berberian Woods in Southfield at the end of Streamwood (walk down two-track lane and cross the bridge).
