Par For The Course | Dillon Pendergast among local golfers in Junior Series Championship
The 36-hole Junior Series Championship arrives at Ashland Golf Club in Ashland on Saturday and May 22.
Hosted by the Northern Ohio PGA, the series is part of the Notah Begay Junior Golf National Championship Series. It is a two-stage qualifying leading to a 54-hole national championship.
Local juniors seeking a spot in the regional qualifying include Aurora’s Parker Barrett, Gannon Brady and Gracyn Vidovic; Kent’s Madolyn Kost and Mitchell Tyger, and Mogadore’s Dillon Pendergast,
St. Joseph Knights of Columbus Scramble
The 22nd annual public golf outing, hosted by the St. Joseph Knights of Columbus is scheduled for June 4 at Paradise Lake Golf Club in Suffield.
The 8 a.m. shotgun start will pit four-person scramble teams competing in the 18-hole event.
The $100 registration fee includes golf, cart, skins entry, a forward-tee shot on the 17th hole, sandwich at the turn and beverages throughout the day. Golfers will gather for a steak dinner following the golf.
Prizes include $360 for first place, $180 for second place, proxies, door prizes and a 50-50 raffle.
