Game 6 Klay Thompson showed up in a major way for the Golden State Warriors on Friday night as they took down the Memphis Grizzlies to book their spot in the Western Conference Finals. Apart from Thompson, however, Dubs big man Kevon Looney unexpectedly also starred in the show as Golden State ended the season of Ja Morant and Co.
Looney grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds in Game 6 as he helped the Warriors to a 110-96 victory en route to breaking a longstanding playoff franchise record (h/t StatMuse on Twitter):

Yes, you read that right. Looney's 22-rebound performance matched a Warriors franchise record that has been around for the past 35 years. That's nearly four decades.
What makes this feat even more impressive is if you consider how Golden State went on that dynasty run a couple of years ago. The Warriors have been through their fair share of postseason games throughout the Stephen Curry era, which makes Looney's recent feat even more mind-boggling.
Kevon Looney is no star, but there's no denying that he has been and will continue to be an integral part of this team and their title hopes this season.
