Suspects accused of assaulting man in parking lot near Harrisburg mall arrested, charged: police

Two men accused of assaulting a man in a parking lot near the Harrisburg mall have been arrested, according to Swatara Township police.

Payton Forgery, 18, of Buffalo, New York, and a 17-year-old boy, also of Buffalo, New York, were charged Friday with several offenses, police said.

Forgery was charged with robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery, aggravated assault, and receiving stolen property. At his arraignment, he was denied bail and was committed to Dauphin County Prison.

The 17-year-old was also charged with robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery, aggravated assault, and receiving stolen property. His case will be tried through the juvenile court system, police said.

Police were able to identify the suspects using video that showed the two men fleeing on foot, police said.

The assault happened Wednesday when the man was trying to get into his car around 9:30 p.m. in a parking lot on the 3900 block of Bass Pro Drive. Officers found the injured man lying on the ground.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said
