Days after Young Thug was arrested over racketeering charges, his protege Lil Keed passed away.

Formally known as Raqhid Rende, Lil Keed was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 16, 1998.

Lil Keed Died at 24: Cause of Death Unknown?

Keed's brother Lil Gotit confirmed his passing via Complex and XXL Mag. A representative of the rapper has also revealed that he passed away last May 13, 2022.

However, Lil Keed's cause of death remains a mystery right now. Despite the confirmation from the rapper's team, no information on his demise has been disclosed to the media. Fans of the late rapper have yet to wait in the coming days or weeks before the official cause of death will be revealed.

His brother, Lil Gotit, obviously mourning the loss of the late rapper, has posted a tribute on his Instagram account.

"Can't believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that's go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy," he wrote along with a photo of them together.

Lil Keed Music Career

Keed has been a dominating presence in the local Atlanta rap scene. He has then gained success through his involvement with Gotit, Lil Yachty, Zaytoven on the collaborative project "Keed Talk to 'Em, A-Team."

Aside from this, he has also been heavily involved in Young Thug's "Young Stoner Life Records." He has appeared in both compilation albums of Thugger, "Slime Language" and "Slime Language 2."

With his potential as a rapper, Young Thug took Lil Keed under his wing and became made him his protege.

"He's just a great person at heart. He's real pure-hearted. He teaches you stuff. He gives you game. He tells you some shit folks won't tell you. I know a lot of folks, they say they're big dogs and all that sh*t, but they don't really help their people. He helps his people. That's why I love him so much. Every time we're with him is a great time," Keed told Complex in 2018.

As of this writing, Lil Keed has released two studio albums already - "Long Live Mexico" and "Trapped in Clevealand 3," which reached the No. 26 and No. 41 spot on the Billboard 200 charts. Both albums were released through Thug's own label, Young Stoner Life Records, and 300 Entertainment.

Keed's death was days away after his mentor, Young Thug, along with his gang "Young Slime Life," was arrested because of gang-related criminal activities.
