Umm, Sarah Ferguson Just Signed a Mega Book Deal—as in, *22* New Books

It's no secret that Sarah Ferguson is a lover of books. Not only does the Duchess of York have her own YouTube channel titled, “Storytime with Fergie and Friends” (where she reads children's books and dons fantastical outfits), but she is also quite the prolific author, having written the popular Budgie the Little Helicopter picture book series, as well as a number of historical and self-help novels.

But, it seems as if the duchess isn't slowing down any time soon. According to a report from People, Ferguson recently signed a major deal with the Australian publisher Serenity Press, where she has agreed to pen 22 new books for the publishing company, including three young adult novels. This announcement comes on the heels of Ferguson's successful romance novel, Her Heart for a Compass, which was published last August.

When talking about the deal, and specifically the young adult books she's writing, Ferguson said she turned to her teenage years for inspiration. “I wanted to share my story of growing up with anxiety and an eating disorder, along with witnessing firsthand the effects of generational trauma,” the duchess said. “For me, it is always present and it all started at the loss of my mother.”

Ferguson also discussed her interest in drafting books for teens, saying, “Young adults are perhaps the fastest-growing category of new fiction today. There's just something about adolescence—with all its incredible triumphs and heartbreaking failures—that makes it the perfect backdrop for powerful storytelling.”

And it looks like we won't have to wait long for these books to start arriving. Ferguson's first YA novel, titled Demon's Land, will be in bookstores on the 31st of June.

We can't wait to read more from the Duchess of York.
