South Plains College hosts commencement ceremonies

South Plains College hosted its 64th Annual Commencement Ceremonies Friday.

In the first ceremony, 492 candidates for graduation participated. In the second ceremony, 404 candidates for graduation participated. This year more than 1,300 students applied for graduation.

The Associate Degree Nursing Program at South Plains College also honored 31 graduates during a Pinning Ceremony Thursday evening in the Texan Dome.

The Hockley County ADN graduates are Georgia Austin, Nicholas Garcia, Ashley Lopez, Brandi Roberson and Natalie Whitfield, all of Levelland.

City of Lubbock ADN graduates are Amanda Aguilera, Bianca Anabtawi, Camillia Bates, Kirsten Mae Bautista, Marthe Beguel Bibouti, Madison Buffington, Hallee Cano, Selena Castro, Andres Faudoa, MaryMae Florez and Cristina Garcia-Moreno.

Also, from Lubbock are Cynthia Garza, Macie Hanshew, Avalon Hunt, Destiny Montez, Madyson Petner, Michael Ramirez, Brittany Rangel, Kynedy Rosalez, Alicia Salazar, Nykeria Ume and Guadalupe Villalobos.

Lubbock County ADN graduates are Kaleb Arguello of Ransom Canyon, Kristen Hill of Idalou and Mackenzie Hughes of Shallowater. Randy Galvan of Seminole also graduated.
