ST. JOHNSBURY — A 22-year-old man is facing charges following an incident in St. Johnsbury on Thursday.

Authorities say they were notified of a domestic assault that occurred in an apartment on Moose River Drive at around 10:20 p.m.

Troopers responded to the home and following an investigation, police allege that Damian Emerson, of St. Johnsbury, had assaulted a household member and then stole their iPhone.

Emerson reportedly ran on foot from the home.

Troopers patrolled the area but were unable to locate Emerson.

Yesterday, with the help of the public, police say they located Emerson hiding under a blanket in the back seat of a pickup truck at around 10:30 p.m.

Police found that Emerson had stolen 3 other electronic devices from the same household member, which were a TV, a different phone, and a Nintendo Switch.

Following an investigation, police say they were able to locate and recover the Nintendo Switch in Littleton, NH.

Police are still investigating to find the iPhone, the other phone, and the TV.
