YouTuber explains if the V8 engine that runs on hydrogen will work or not

Could hydrogen be the fuel of the future?

Loukia Papadopoulos

Automotive manufacturers around the world are currently in the process of engineering hydrogen engines to power their vehicles, and these engines could one day replace not only hydrogen fuel cell technology and traditional combustion engines but perhaps even electric vehicles (EVs).

However, while EV markets forge forward offering more models of the vehicles, the use of hydrogen engine technology in commercial vehicles still remains in its early phases and the feasibility of hydrogen gas as a useful and practical alternative is yet to be proven.

That could all soon change thanks to a Ford patent described in this video by Driven Media. The clip introduces a new kind of engine that will have all the fun and enjoyable noises of a combustion engine, unlike the quiet electrical version.

It will also use hydrogen as a direct replacement for petrol, meaning it would take the same time to fill up the car all the while being green. What is this incredible patent? How close is it to see the light of day? Will other carmakers follow suit and create enough of an infrastructure for hydrogen vehicles to be viable? This video explores this question and so much more.
