(Olivia, MN) -- A jury in southwestern Minnesota has found a man guilty of domestic assault. Brian Joseph Gewerth was convicted Thursday in Renville County. Prosecutors say the 42-year-old man from Bird Island pushed the victim down in a hallway a half-dozen times. Gewerth and the victim were arguing because the suspect had failed to pay the rent. Authorities say Gewerth has a history of domestic assault. He will be sentenced in July.
