Klay Thompson had been struggling in the Golden State Warriors' second-round series with the Memphis Grizzlies. After a couple of putrid shooting nights, he proved that he is still the same player of the past on Friday, going off for 30 points in the Dubs' massive Game 6 win to book their ticket to the Western Conference Finals.

The Warriors star has a history of showing up in Game 6's. He scored 30 in the NBA Finals in 2019 against the Toronto Raptors to extend the series to a seventh game, but this time around, it meant a lot more because Klay proved to himself and everyone that he is still capable of playing at the highest level, despite all the injury problems he's dealt with since.

Via NBCS Bay Area:

“It felt better,” Thompson said of his latest legendary Game 6. “Honestly, especially the perspective I've gained from the injuries I've had. To now be able to compete at the highest level and be one of the final four teams, it's a feeling that's hard to describe, honestly.

“It's truly amazing, it just inspires me to keep going because I think we still have great basketball ahead of us.”

Thompson led all Warriors scorers, going 11 for 22 from the field and an impressive 8 for 14 from downtown. He and Steph Curry combined for 59 points on their own. If the Splash Brothers can continue to play like this, Golden State has a legitimate shot at bringing another title back to the Bay Area.
