Izard County was bounced from the Class 1A State Baseball Tournament Friday in Arkadelphia. The Cougars ended up falling to Nemo Vista 8-6. Izard County’s season ends at 20-8.
Melbourne fell just short of advancing to the semifinals of the Class 2A State Baseball Tournament at South Side-Bee Branch. The Bearkatz were edged out by Buffalo Island Central 3-2.
Harrison’s baseball team is one win away from another state championship game appearance. The Goblins got past Pulaski Academy 4-3 in the quarterfinals of the Class 4A State Tournament at Nashville.
Dora’s baseball season ended on its home field in the semifinals of the Class 1, District 4 Tournament. The Falcons lost to Greenwood 12-5.
