KIMBALL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Town of Kimball has released a statement encouraging the owner of the vehicle involved in a Thursday morning hit and run incident to come forward.
In a message shared Friday night through the Town of Kimball Facebook account, the owner of a pickup involved in an apparent hit and run incident – which is said to have occurred at 1:01am on Thursday, May, 12 – is asked to make their identity known.
“We are investigating and would like to give the driver the chance to do the right thing,” reads the statement.
Included for reference is a still from a City Hall camera feed, suggesting that the incident occurred within view from the Kimball City Hall building. It is unclear, however, whether the vehicle in question appears in the shot.
It is also suggested that the event was captured through multiple feed sources, as the statement refers to the included photo as “just one view from the cameras on city hall. “
The individual involved appears to be offered exemption from applicable penalties should they come forward about the incident, as the message continues, “If you make it right and contact us there will be no criminal penalties imposed.”
Anyone with information pertaining to the event, or anyone seeking information on the vehicle, is encouraged to contact the Town of Kimball at (304) 585-7913 or reach out to the Town of Kimball Facebook page here.
