CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Monty, the well-known and much-loved piping plover that began nesting at the Montrose Beach in 2019 has passed away.
Chicago Piping Plovers, a group dedicated to conserving piping plovers, which are an endangered species, announced the news in a tweet.
