Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy has just showed off a new look following the filming of an episode for his exit from the soap.

The post comes just a couple of weeks after Gary was spotted filming his final ever Hollyoaks scenes at the end of April. The actor has played Luke Morgan on-and-off since 1999, during which he has been involved in a number of huge storylines including his groundbreaking male rape storyline.

As fans will be aware by now, Luke has been living with dementia ever since he was diagnosed with the disease two years ago. It was sadly confirmed last month that the character will die in tragic scenes ahead for viewers.

The emotional scenes will show Luke's son Ollie (Gabriel Clark) in a flash forward in which he will be attending his father's funeral.

New pictures emerged last week from the filming of Luke's funeral scenes, showing Hollyoaks stars Jessica Fox (Nancy Hayton), Gabriel Clark (Ollie), Ashley Taylor Dawson (Darren Osborne) and Stephanie Waring (Cindy Cunningham) emerging from a church.

Before these scenes air, however, the soap is due to air scenes set in Mallorca for Luke and Cindy's stag and hen dos next month.

Hollyoaks now streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
