Detroit police searching for two female suspects accused of yelling racial slurs, physically assaulting victim

Police have asked for the community's help in identifying two female suspects who are accused of verbally and physically attacking a 23-year-old woman in Detroit at the beginning on the month.

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police have asked for the community's help in identifying two female suspects who are accused of verbally and physically attacking a 23-year-old woman in Detroit at the beginning of the month.

Officers with the Detroit Police Department said the altercation occurred around 4:30 p.m. on May 1 in the 1500 block of Broadway Street when the two women began to verbally assault the victim. Police said the incident escalated and the two women physically assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene.

The pair are wanted for assault and battery; no other information was made available by police.
