Abi Franklin has scored a big victory in the custody fight against Imran Habeeb in Coronation Street.
The battle for baby Alfie's future had a major bend in the road during Friday's (May 13) episode when Abi went on a sting operation to catch out Ben.
Abi was able to film Ben buying some drugs with money he'd got from Imran, but he quickly realised he was being watched. Abi confronted Ben with an ultimatum – either admit Imran paid him to lie or she'd turn over the video to his boss and police.
Not long after, Imran was alarmed to receive a call from Abi's barrister revealing new evidence had come in. Imran was asked to "make himself available" to discuss whether he committed perjury!
Imran was forced to admit the truth to business partner Adam Barlow, with Adam hitting out at Imran for putting their business at risk to secure custody of Alfie.
Over at the garage, Kevin warned Abi she could "go down" for the way she'd secured Ben's confession, only for Abi to insist it's "worth the risk" because Imran was already "playing dirty".
"It's about time he got a taste of his own medicine," Abi declared.
Imran returned home to Toyah planning a naming ceremony for Alfie, as she insisted the event would be "a turning point" for their family.
"I think it's all going to be okay," Toyah predicted.
Little did she know Imran was hiding a potentially disastrous secret from her because he'd been called to a meeting the following Monday about Alfie's custody.
While Abi did get some good news in Friday's episode, her victory might not be enough to win the custody fight because, next week, she will consider doing a runner with the baby to end the ordeal for good.
