Ulman man kills himself after a short chase in Miller County

ULMAN, Mo. (KMIZ)

An Ulman man committed suicide by shooting himself after leading Miller County Sheriff’s deputies on a chase Wednesday.

According to a release, a deputy attempted to stop Harold Campbell for outstanding warrants as he was driving in the Ulman area of Miller County. Campbell was wanted for failure to appear for felony domestic assault in Miller County and a probation violation warrant

Campbell then sped off multiple times while brandishing a firearm at the deputy.

Officials say Campbell eventually stopped the car, pointed the firearm at the officer and then turned the firearm on himself inflicting a fatal wound.

Deputies attempted to save Campbell's life before EMS arrived on the scene.
