Britrain Gray, of Odenton, was working at the restaurant at the time of the shooting, which happened at the McDonalds at 1130 Crain Highway in Crofton around 4:45 a.m. on Friday, May 13, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
McDonald's, which identified Gray as their employee, released a statement regarding his death, according to WMAR.
“We are saddened by the senseless and tragic loss of our friend and colleague," the statement reads. "Our thoughts are with the employee’s family and loved ones at this difficult time. We are in the process of offering our employees counseling and another support they may need and working with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation.”
Gray's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for evaluation. Authorities say incident was targeted and are continuing their investigation.
