The MARC Penn Line Service has been suspended due to police activity in the area, according to MDOT MTA.
It's suspended between Odenton and Bowie Stations and currently, there is no estimated time for resumption of service thru this area.
Acela Train 2168 is also delayed departing Washington.
Anne Arundel County Fire says that a pedestrian was struck by a train.
Amtrak later released a statement saying in part:
Due to an earlier commuter train trespasser incident, all rail travel between Baltimore (BAL) and New Carrolton (NCR) was temporarily stopped. Amtrak Police have been working with local authorities to investigate the incident. Tracks were partially reopened at approx. 3:10 p.m. ET and trains are back on the move.
