The Demopolis High School Class of 1959 celebrated their 63rd year reunion April 29 and 30, with a fun weekend of visiting and renewing old friendships. They began with a very nice welcome party Friday night at the impressive Marengo County History & Archive Museum which is located in the old Merchants Grocery/Rosenbush Building. Rusty Goldsmith, who is presently serving as Interim Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, was a special guest for the Friday night event. Saturday activities included a casual, all-day get together at the Spillway Falls Park Pavilion then dinner at the Red Barn. They had a great turnout with 16 classmates attending. Pictured are, from left (front row) Dorothy Green Williams, Betty Joyce Williams Tatum, Geraldine Smith House, Becky Grable Acton, Helen Watts Arnold; (back row) Glenn Giddins, Charles Abrams, Tom Raybon, Bill Spence, Bert Hitchcock, John Gross, Jim Patterson, Bill Glover, Bob Drury, Joe Turner, and Donnie George Ford. Good food and good memories were shared by all.
