APPOMATTOX COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police are investigating after a man lost his life in a Tuesday afternoon collision between a moped and an SUV in Appomattox County.
According to officials, state troopers were called out to the two-vehicle crash on Route 460 — less than a mile west of Spruce Road — at approximately 4:21 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10.
Police say a 2019 Grand Cherokee and a moped collided in the eastbound lanes of Route 460.
The man operating the moped — whose identity has not been released — died at the scene of the crash, authorities say.
On Friday, May 13, Virginia State Police told WFXR News they are still investigating this deadly collision.
