You won’t hear Ana Navarro complaining about aging anytime soon. On Friday’s episode of The ViewNavarro joked with her cohosts about being glad to have hit 50 years old during a conversation about the nation’s formula shortage and impending reversal of Roe v. Wade.

Navarro, who celebrated her fiftieth birthday in December, quipped to the panel, “Listen, between the Roe v. Wade and the shortage of formula, I’ve never been so thankful for my shriveled up, 50-year-old ovaries.”

The country has been experiencing a baby formula shortage that has been slowly building and has only worsened this week. According to the New York Times, the shortage “has been building for months and stems from pandemic supply issues that were exacerbated by the February closure of a major production plant.”

Navarro was also referring to the leaked Supreme Court opinion indicating the reversal of Roe v. Wade, which would give states the power to ban abortion.

After making her co-hosts laugh, Navarro shifted to a more serious tone when responding to Joy Behar‘s question about whether President Joe Biden is at fault for the formula shortage. Navarro argued, “Things have happened because of COVID, and this has been a perfect storm. There’s been staff shortages, there’s been shortages of some of the ingredients, there’s been the recall issue, there’s the monopoly issue.”

“Look, if you want to blame Biden for the shortage, fine,” Navarro said, before saying former president Donald Trump deserves his fair share of blame for shortages of vaccines, toilet paper, cars and paper towels, products which were all affected during the pandemic.

She joked of the paper towels, “Maybe he used them all throwing them at Puerto Rico!”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC. Watch the panel’s full discussion about the formula shortage in the video above.
