Emily Ratajkowski's latest outfit is a style lesson in mastering intense, vibrant colors.
The model and My Body author attended last night's Michael Kors x Ellesse launch party in New York City. For the fete, EmRata opted for a striking sequined minidress in a flashy shade of reddish orange. Keeping her accessories to a minimum, she accentuated the statement color with a white handbag and white heeled sandals. She went neutral on the glam and left her brown locks down for a soft blowout.
Ratajkowski is one of the faces for the Michael Kors x Ellesse campaign, a designer collaboration that combines '70s aesthetics with luxe athletic wear. The capsule collection features 24 new pieces for men and women, including windbreakers, track jackets, bathing suits, hats, bags, and shoes.
"We teamed up with the longtime tennis tastemaker to put a retro spin on activewear and accessories with off-court appeal," the Michael Kors website says of the collaboration.
Besides Ratajkowski, other reps for the campaign include Olivia Culpo, Frida Aasen, Yan Yan Chan, Jay Critch, and musician Wolftyla.
The writer previously described her "empowering" relationship to style and fashion in a 2021 interview.
"I feel like fashion can be a wonderful celebration of yourself," she said at the time. "Choosing what you want to wear on a given day is such an empowering, exciting feeling. I love playing dress-up and I think we should all remember that fashion shouldn't be taken too seriously. It should be fun!"
