ABC7's Roz Varon inducted into Silver Circle

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Roz Varon was inducted Friday into the Silver Circle of the Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The honor celebrates those who have made significant contributions to broadcasting for at least 25 years.

Varon pioneered traffic reporting in Chicago and has been part of our team at ABC7 for 33 years. She has worked on the ABC7 morning show since it started in 1989.

Colleagues pay tribute Roz Varon's more than 30 year career at ABC 7 Chicago.

"I am so grateful and so fortunate to be where I am, to have done what I have done, to have met the people that I have along the way," she said. "It's an incredible job and it's so much more than just traffic reporting. And I feel so blessed."
