Massachusetts woman’s birthday gift turns into $1 million instant ticket win
Not many people can say they received a $1 million win for a birthday gift, but one Massachusetts woman can.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Stephenie Stack has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Brilliant Titanium” instant ticket game.
Stack, who enjoys fixing cars and lives in Brockton, received her ticket as a birthday gift from her father. She chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She plans to put her winnings toward the purchase of a new car and a house.
Her winning ticket was purchased at Safa Food and Fuel, 500 Pleasant St. in Brockton. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
