Beaver Library book sale returns

BEAVER − Beaver Area Memorial Library will host its popular book sale in early June.

The sale will include books for all ages, audio visual materials, games and puzzles.

The presale occurs 5-8 p.m. June 3. Tickets are $25, which includes a bag of books, and can be purchased ahead of time or at the door. That Friday evening's event also will include a small, separate section of vintage and rare books that will be individually marked.

The bag sale takes place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4. The cost is $15 per bag.

New this year will be the Curbside Cocina food truck parked outside and selling Mexican food from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy lunch after visiting the book sale, and the library will receive part of the proceeds. Café Kolaches’ pastries will be sold, too

The sale continues 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 6-7, with a bag of books reduced to $10.

Books will be arranged by categories to make it easier for browsing.

The library will begin accepting gently used books for the sale on May 24. Not to be accepted are Reader’s Digest Condensed books, encyclopedias or textbooks.
