Syracuse Hancock Airport says it has returned to pre-pandemic traffic levels

SYRACUSE, NY —
The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority is reporting the number of people traveling through the Syracuse Hancock International Airport has returned to pre-pandemic levels.

According to airport officials, the airport saw 225,898 passengers travel through the terminal in April, which is an increase over April 2019, which saw a total of 208,244 passengers. 2019 was the busiest year for traffic through the airport in 30 years, according to officials.
Local TSA officials are now asking travelers to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure, especially during peak travel hours which are from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., according to airport officials.
