Pursuit leads to two arrests

Early Thursday morning officers attempted to stop a stolen Jeep Cherokee pulling a stolen trailer near Harbisons Crossroads in North Knox County. Suspect refused to stop, and intentionally struck two KCSO cruisers.
Suspect continued eastbound on Emory Road towards Grainger County. As Suspect was evading officers, he called 911 and made threats … stating he had a gun and would kill any officer that stopped him.
Officers continued pursuit with assistance from Grainger County Sheriffs Office and Knoxville Police Department. The pursuit ended Magnolia near Cherry Street after vehicle became non drivable. Two subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Roger D Wilson Detention Facility.
Arrested –
Lawrence Huffman Jr and Ashley Collins – Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft, Evading Arrest, Aggravated Assault, Fugitive from Justice (F.F.J), Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault.
Suspects also have warrants from other jurisdictions and will be transported there after Knox County Charges are processed. Investigation is ongoing. [Image.jpeg]
