Over the past few months, sushi conveyor belts have become popular across the nation and videos of guests choosing which sushi they'd like to eat from the conveyor belt has blown up online, especially on TikTok.Foodies have taken to Chowdown Cincinnati, a Facebook group dedicated to talks about restaurants in the Greater Cincinnati area, asking if there was a sushi conveyor belt in the area. Most people commented that they've experienced the belts in other states, but not in Greater Cincinnati."Sounds like there is want for one of these in the Tri-State," one person commented.On May 4, Arawan Thai Sushi located in Cold Spring, Kentucky, posted on Facebook that they'd be temporarily closed due to work going on in their dining room. "We have something very exciting in the works for our dining room and can’t wait to reveal to you all very soon. It has been a dream of ours for so long and we can’t wait to be the first in Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area to have something like this," the restaurant said on Facebook.Someone commented: "Hope it's a sushi conveyor belt!!" to which Arawan Thai Sushi replied, "That would certainly make us the 1st in the area, right?"Watch the video player above to see how a sushi conveyor belt would workThen on Thursday, Arawan Thai Sushi posted a photo design of a sushi conveyor belt. They said the belt is estimated to be done around the end of July. The restaurant said they hope to reopen closer to the beginning of July for its second anniversary."This is going to be a game-changer!
