Daniel Cormier has fired back at Tony Ferguson’s recent shots against him.

Daniel Cormier Fires Back

Recently, Ferguson took to Twitter to fire a shot at Daniel Cormier’s infamous “Towelgate” weigh-in. Ferguson gave it as an example of “how not to make weight.” Cormier then offered up a response with the following.

“Tony please stop. Go and sit back for a little, tuck your head in a hole somewhere. Regroup man , recover spend some time with your family. Like just please stop! I plead with you. It is not a good look. Like you’re making me sad.”

Ferguson then responded by saying he’s not a quitter like Cormier, telling the future UFC Hall Of Famer to enjoy retirement:

“Lay Off The Yay Buddy Not A Good Look You Make Yourself Look Sad. I’m already back to work I don’t quit like you Enjoy your retirement with Fathead”

Finally, Cormier responded, telling Ferguson to focus on attacking Michael Chandler, who is the one who knocked him out this past weekend:

“Ok Tony now you’re reaching. Are you saying I do cocaine? I’m so confused right now. I dont know why you’re after me. Get micheal chandler he’s the one kicked your face not me.”

Tony Ferguson’s Knockout Loss

Cormier is referring to Ferguson’s knockout loss to Chandler this past weekend at UFC 274. The two lightweights met in an epic clash on the pay-per-view (PPV) main card from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. After an extremely competitive first round, that Ferguson might have even won, Chandler came out in the second round and made history.

He became the first man to knockout Ferguson unconcious with a front kick to the face. It was a highlight reel knockout that will likely be replayed for years to come. The defeat marked Ferguson’s fourth-straight loss.
