JASPER COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A 24-year-old Newton Illinois man has died after a single vehicle crash in Jasper County according to Illinois State Police.
ISP announced that Jarrett S. Zumbahlen, of Newton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The crash occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on May 11 along North 775th Street near the intersection with County Road 1200 N.
According to investigators, Zumbahlen was driving a Buick Sedan along N. 775th St. when, for unknown reasons, his car left the road to the right and struck a large tree.
Police say the investigation is open and on-going.
