ROCKWALL, TX (May 12, 2022) AmeriSports, LLC broke ground recently on a new indoor sports facility which is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2023. The facility is the first phase of a multi-phase 56-acre project and will be located at 3101 Fit Sport Life Blvd near the corner of FM549 and I30. AmeriSports hosted a ground breaking ceremony today to celebrate the beginning of construction. The ceremony was held along Capital Blvd next to the construction site.
Master of Ceremonies Beth McCrackin of Edward Jones opened the ceremony by welcoming and thanking everyone who attended. She told them that they were honored guests and expressed the significance of their presence at the event. She also talked about the positive impact she expects from the AmeriSports project on the Rockwall Community. Beth then introduced Brad Bassett of LP Sports who gave the invocation.
Patrick James and Brad Steveson Co-founders of AmeriSports each delivered remarks about the project. Patrick talked about the journey to get to the ground breaking and Brad discussed some details about AmeriSports future operating plans. Rockwall Mayor Kevin Fowler, Rockwall County Judge David Sweet and US Congressman Pat Fallon all followed and delivered remarks to approximately 65 guests. The event was attended by honored guests of AmeriSports and Structured Real Estate, the developer of the project.
The event concluded with a ceremonial breaking of the ground using the traditional gold painted shovels and white hard hats sporting the AmeriSports logo. Everyone in attendance was invited to take a turn with a shovel and hat. Photos were taken by friend of AmeriSports, Karen Poe. AmeriSports and Structured Real Estate then hosted the guests at a reception with refreshments and conversation under the double high peak white tent that was used to shade the event.
