Bears sign veteran WR Dante Pettis to 1-year deal

(670 The Score) The Bears have added another veteran wide receiver by signing Dante Pettis to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday morning.

Pettis, 25, has accumulated 52 receptions for 739 yards and nine touchdowns over four NFL seasons. He caught 10 passes for 87 yards and a score with the Giants in 2021.

The Bears will also sign veteran receiver Tajae Sharpe, according to an NFL Media report. He played with the Falcons in 2021, catching 25 passes for 230 yards.

On Wednesday, the Bears officially signed veteran quarterback Nathan Peterman and also claimed tight end Rysen John off waivers from the Giants. Chicago waived quarterback Ryan Willis and tight end Jesper Horsted.

The Bears will hold OTAs next week at Halas Hall.
