The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield is coming to Netflix in June 2022

Calling all Marvel fans! The Amazing Spider-Man starring the amazingly talented Andrew Garfield is reportedly coming to Netflix this June and we can hardly contain our excitement.

The Amazing Spider-Man is a 2012 superhero film directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent, and Steve Kloves. The story is by Vanderbilt and is based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It’s also a reboot of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire in the lead role.

The Amazing Spider-Man was a box office hit when it premiered in theaters in July 2012. It grossed $758 million worldwide, making it the seventh highest-grossing film of 2012. When the action movie came out, critics and viewers alike praised Garfield’s outstanding performance and Webb’s directing. Due to the film’s success, a sequel was confirmed. In 2014, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out, but this would be the last we saw of The Amazing Spider-Man film series. However, this wasn’t the last we saw of Garfield in the Spider-Man universe. He reprised his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home with Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland.

According to What’s on Netflix, the superhero film is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. You can expect the movie to drop on the streamer at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on its release date. This is the typical release time that Netflix drops content on its platform.

Keep in mind that Netflix has not announced nor confirmed that the superhero movie is actually coming in June. So there’s a chance that the film won’t appear on everyone’s Netflix account on June 1. Fingers crossed, the rumor is true! Netflix is lacking superhero content after the departure of all the Netflix Marvel shows, so The Amazing Spider-Man would be a pleasant surprise.
