On Saturday, May 14, Justice Patricia Polson Satterfield will receive the 2022 Ellis Island Medal of Honor. The medal is presented annually to those who have shown an outstanding commitment to serving the nation either professionally, culturally or civically, among other criteria.
As a graduate of Howard University, born and raised in Middlesex County, Justice Satterfield has dedicated her life to others, both professionally and personally.
Justice Satterfield is involved with community-based groups in Middlesex, including the Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society, the Heritage Committee and the Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society…
