New FFA officers take reins; 160 at banquet

    A changing of the guard capped off another end-of-year Imperial FFA banquet and program April 30 at the Chase County Schools auditorium.
    New 2022-23 officers were installed after a banquet that served 160 in the cafeteria.
    Advisor Jason Speck, along with the chapter’s senior and junior officers, conducted the awards program, capped off with the new officer installation.
    Outgoing FFA President Morel Jurado gave a retiring address just before the installation.
    As each new officer took his or her seat at the table, the outgoing officer hung up his or her FFA jacket.
    Carter Leibbrandt will lead the chapter in 2022-23 as president.
    Other officers include Mason Tyerman, vice-president; Madelynn Hanes, secretary; Liz Reeves, treasurer; Peyton Dubas, sentinel; Kylee Wiest, reporter; Kathya Aragon, parliamentarian; and Brooke Schilke, historian.
