Jerry rips Noah Syndergaard for Mets trolling: 'The guy's mouth has been better than his arm'

Noah Syndergaard threw some shade at the Mets on Wednesday morning, sending out a picture of Angels teammate Reid Detmer’s no-hitter with the caption, “This is what a ‘real’ no-hitter looks like,” an obvious jab at his former team’s combined no-no last month.

Gio and Jerry were notified of the Instagram post by a caller on Wednesday morning, and Jerry wasn’t happy about it.

“He really is a punk,” Jerry said. “He’s become so unlikeable.

“For a guy that professed his love for this organization the way he used to, and the Met fan, he really has become an ass. There’s no reason for that.”

Syndergaard expressed a desire to stay with the Mets last year, but after being offered the qualifying offer, said he had “radio silence” from New York while the Angels pitched him to come out west for an extra $3 million. With that, his Mets career was over.

But Jerry can’t figure out why Syndergaard would troll his former teammates, even if he was frustrated with how the front office handled his situation last fall.

“There’s no reason for him to do that other than to be a jackass…the guy’s mouth has been better than his arm, really,” Jerry said.

“Why would you go after the guys you worked with or were with? If you want to take issue with Mets ownership, I get it…but those were your teammates that you traveled with.”
