Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher announces birth of twin sons

Emmerdale and Strictly Come Dancing's Kelvin Fletcher has announced the birth of his twin sons with wife Liz Marsland.

Over on Instagram today (May 11), the actor turned ballroom champion uploaded a shot of the little lads together, writing: "A gift from God [praying emoji]. Welcome to the world my little boys [heart emoji]. #ifyoucouldseemysmile."

RuPaul's Drag Race favourite Michelle Visage, who competed in the same Strictly series three years ago, left in the comment section: "CONGRATS TO THE WHOLE FAMILY."

Fellow Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson, who portrayed Alicia Metcalfe for five years, replied: "Awww beautiful! Congratulations you guys!" with two heart emojis.

"Congrats mate!! Fantastic news!", "Amazing news!", "A beautiful brood! Congratulations chum!", "Congrats to you both" and "Wow. Amazing news. Huge congratulations on the arrival of the twins. Brilliant and more hands on the farm soon," read a handful of extra messages.

Back in March, Fletcher described the overwhelming happiness of learning the sex of his and Marsland's twins.

"We've already got the best of both worlds with [daughter] Marnie and [son] Milo, so I didn't mind either way, but finding out we're having sons is amazing," he said. "It was the best day of my life. It was a moment of complete disbelief. I've never felt joy like it."

Marsland added: "I felt every single emotion under the sun... Kelvin was saying it's a miracle, and I was thinking, 'How are we going to do this?' But now we can't imagine it any other way. We feel so lucky."
