Living legends and longtime friends Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight are planning to bring a bit of holiday cheer to central Arkansas when the pair stop by in November.
Performing for one night only at The Theater at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, the duo will serenade the crowd with their hits that span a combined 11 decades.
Nicknamed the "Godmother of Soul," LaBelle, 77, began her long career by singing in her Philadelphia church at the age of 14. She would go on to produce hits such as, "Lady Marmalade," "If Only You Knew," and "Love, Need and Want You."
Knight, also 77, is an icon in her own right. Known as the "Empress of Soul," she has release numerous recognizable songs like, "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," "Midnight Train to Georgia," and "That's What Friends Are For."
The concert titled "A Friendsgiving Event" will start at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13. Tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13.
No word yet if Patti's famous sweet potato pie will be served.
