Russell Springs firefighters were called out to a structure fire off East 80 just past Decatur Road on Tuesday afternoon, according to Fire Chief Bobby Johnson.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered fire in a bedroom that had burned through the side of the home. The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to bedroom. There were no injuries reported.
Engine 7, Engine 9 and Tanker 1 with the Russell Springs Fire Department responded to the scene with a total of 10 firefighters. They were on scene for about an hour.
