Former EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison has claimed that she isn't allowed to appear on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! due to her previous stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
The Heather Trott actress appeared as a contestant on the 10th series of CBB back in 2012, though has admitted in a new interview that it has always been her dream to go on the ITV reality series.
"I've desperately wanted to, the whole of my life, even pre-Big Brother, I wanted do the jungle," she told The Hundamental Guide To Life podcast. "The jungle was my main thing I wanted to do.
"But unfortunately, and I don't know if any of your listeners will know this – if you've done Big Brother you cannot go into the jungle. But if you've done the jungle [you can go into Big Brother].
"So if you look, there are people who have not been in the jungle who have only been in Big Brother. Examples, Coleen Nolan. People who have not been in the jungle. Because we were in Big Brother first… for some reason ITV think it's too near."
Cheryl added: "To me, I think it's silly. A) Big Brother's been off for a long time. And B) I have got a great, fantastic plan. I have got the most amazing game plan if I go into the jungle!"
ITV declined to comment when asked about Cheryl's comments.

Meanwhile, Cheryl recently called for EastEnders to revert back to more realistic plotlines, suggesting producers "go out and talk to people".
"They need to bring it back down to earth a bit," she told The Mirror. "When the sensational stuff becomes like a movie, it becomes a bit like a blur. Arthur stealing the money, Den and Angie's divorce papers, those were the hearts and lives of real people."
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
